Fresh suspru leaves and flowers are crushed and mixed with kali (soup) and is used for Niskyamishti (typhoid) fever. Sometimes fresh leaves are boiled in water to make a tea used for the same purpose. In some places it is also used for indigestion and for Khodur (diarrhoea).
