Local Practice:
The root of Zha is dug up from a dry pace, not an irrigated field. The root is cleaned and rubbed against a desu (plain stone), with a few drops of water, into a paste. Then a paste is prepared from a peach stone, in the same way on a desu. These two pastes are mixed and applied around sore irritated eyes at night before sleep. Two applications are considered sufficient enough for recovery.
