When stem, branches or leaves of this plant are cut, a white milky juice exudes. This juice is collected and applied to the parts of the body affected with bichich (eczema). Immediately after application there is a swelling of the infected part and a burning sensation starts which the patient has to tolerate it for few minutes. After 2-3 application the patient may be rid of this disease.
