Local Practice:
The leaves and flowers are crushed into a paste and the paste is applied locally to kochai (boils). It is also applied to the hands when someone has Bolushok bik (split skin around the nails) as well as to the feet for split heals. The flowers are also used for decoration at marriages or during Eid ceremonies.
