The roots of Kaslhi are dug out, washed, chopped and boiled in water. The decoction is given against Niskamishti(typhoid) and malaria. In some villages the decoction is used for abdominal pain and abdominal obstruction. In ease of chronic typhoid and malaria, roots of Kasthi are collected from seven different plants from different places. The roots are cleaned, chopped and soaked in water and kept on the roof under an open sky for a single night. Then the water is given to the said patients.
