Fresh leaves are picked and after removing the thicker veins of the leaves, they are wrapped on top of a boil and bandaged up. Within 24 to 48 hours the pus will drain out from the boil and heal up within 3 days. Seeds are collected, cleaned, dried and stored. Whenever someone has got stabbing pains (verenz) in the family, these seeds are fried with butter or apricot kernel oil and by addition of water and flour, a soup (kali) is made and is given to the patient before going to bed at night.
